Website and Blog Design:

All my life I have been what you would call - a creativity junkie.  I love scrapbooking, blogging, decorating and well anything that has me thinking outside the box.  While my faults and lack of skills list is way too long to list - I have always been what my mother calls the "artsy one."  In school that always meant, medium intelligence, cannot sing to save her butt, never going to write the next novel, and hollywood will never be calling her up.  However, luckily I have had amazing parents that put me in every dance and art class my heart desired and proudly posted my Bs on the fridge.  ;)

Over the years as my faith has grown and I have gotten older, I have come to understand that these are the gifts God has instilled me with.  He puts in us valuable, unique tools that make us His personal creation.
Now, at 30 I am reflecting back on how truly lucky I have been.  I have so many times been so blessed by opportunities to express who I am, who God made me to be.  After years of dancing and various competitions, art classes and competitions - it has led me to many things since I have been an adult.
Most recently, it has led me to get involved with a project that is incredibly close to my heart.  When my mother and sister published their first book I was asked to not only design the cover (the second of my mother’s published books I got to illustrate), but to also create their website and blog.  They believed in me enough to rely on me to not only bring their words into imagery, but to also help them market it!  While I have often lost faith in myself, they never have.  I feel beyond blessed that they had me be a part of their amazing adventure and that they have allowed me yet another creative outlet (yes, my husband also wanders how many I must need).  ;)

Surprisingly, this is leading to many possibilities and doors to be opened.  Already, I have had friends and strangers ask me to help them with their own websites and blogs.  While this is something I have always enjoyed, I never imagined how it would take off.  I am looking forward to this new journey.

SamBug Designs:
In the fall of 2009 I started making children hair bows, hats and headbands I decided to get involved with this after looking and looking for creative accessories for my precious baby girl, Samantha.  Everything I found was WAY overpriced!  So, in typical Dana form I set out to make a few and wound up making over a 100 in total - a mix of headbands, hairbows, easter hats and winter hats.  I had a blast and even ran a big December Christmas Shopping Extravaganza with about 15 other handmade vendors.  It was a blast, but I quickly realized I am far from a saleswoman.  I was very proud of my creations, though, so I have continued to give and make them for my friend's children, neighbors and of course Samantha now has a different accessory for every outfit. ;)

Here are some pics of these creations.  Though, as you can tell - the best part of these pics is the adorable baby posing with this -- my baby girl!
